I read the book Miss Spifire. This book is about reaching Helen Keller. Helen's teacher ( Miss Annie) is trying to teach Helen how to spell. Miss Annie shapes her hand into letters on Helen's hand so she can feel it. The word she spells into her hand Helen will be able to recognize the word that Miss Annie is spelling. Helen has fits that take her nowhere except.....ground, and bruises all over. Will Helen be able to spell words? Will Miss Annie follow her dream to become an excellent teacher?
