Hoot

Hoot is an attention drawing book.  It is about a boy named Roy who moved from Montana to Florida.  On his way to school one morning he sees this boy runnung barefoot and  immediately starts wondering who this person is.  Later in the book he trys to be friends with the running boy.  He gives him shoes, some meat and even his identidy.  Roy has another problem of his own...Dana Matherson the bullie that Roy finds threating him.  Will Roy stand up to this bullie and make friends with the running boy?  

Hoot was a very good book it layered alot of themes like Friendship, Courage, and Perseverance.  I did not want to put it down.  It was a good book
